Care built around how you move — not just where it hurts.
Dr. Rustin Ajdari, DPM is an ABFAS Board Qualified podiatric surgeon practicing with New Orleans Orthopedic Institute, seeing patients in Metairie and Slidell for everything from sports injuries to complex surgical reconstruction.
Rustin Ajdari, DPM
Dr. Ajdari treats the foot and ankle as a complete mechanical system, pairing advanced surgical technique with the attentiveness of a small, personal practice. Raised in Southern California, he earned his B.S. in Biology and Psychology from UC Davis before completing his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland.
He went on to complete a forefoot and rearfoot surgical residency with the Ochsner Podiatric Surgical Residency Program in New Orleans, training under established podiatric and orthopedic foot and ankle surgeons. It was during residency that he put down roots in the greater New Orleans area, later gaining hospital experience in Slidell before joining New Orleans Orthopedic Institute.
His clinical focus spans common conditions — hammertoes, bunions, ingrown nails — through sports medicine, biomechanics, lower-extremity trauma, limb salvage, post-traumatic deformity correction, and complex surgical reconstruction. Every case starts with the full biomechanical picture, not just the site of pain, so both surgical and non-surgical plans are built for lasting results.
